Hello everybody, my name is Ross Turner and I'm the owner and trainer here at Turner Stockdogs in Oologah, Oklahoma. I bought my first Border Collie back in 2019 and spent a few years learning how to train and handle cowdogs. From there, I eventually started selling and training working cow dogs in 2021, and then began training outside dogs in the following year of 2022. Being a young and fresh face in the stock dog industry, I have found experienced mentors and embraced their knowledge with a growth mindset in order to continue to improve my craft and grow my business. Whether you're a cattleman, competitive trialer, or just wanting a dog to help out on your small hobby farm, you hold an important part in this industry and I would love to assist you in your cowdog endeavors! Services
Training
I take in outside dogs for training at the beginning of every month. Training is $500 per month. All pups must be at least one year old and be current on rabies, parvo, lepto, and bordetella vaccinations in order to get accepted into my training program. Spots fill up fast so contact me today at 405-308-3070 to get on the waiting list!
Lessons
Lessons are a great way to get training for both you and your dog. It's important for the handler to know how to effectively handle a dog because any amount of training a dog has will not be useful if the handler doesn't know how to work the dog. I recommend coming for lessons even if you send me your dog for training. Lessons at my facilities are $40 a lesson or free while your dog is in training. These lessons include one on one coaching with you and your dog, and you are also welcome to stay and watch me work my dogs in order to learn and ask questions. I can also travel to your home or operation for a lesson however price will vary depending on distance so give me a call at
